The various departments opening under the umbrella of the Randolph County Commission play a vital role in the lives of Randolph County residents, providing services throughout their lives.

County employees provide law enforcement and emergency services, record births, adoptions, marriages and divorces, provide health care to indigents, certify deaths and probate wills of the deceased. Residents also depend upon county departments to record land records, register voters, conduct elections and maintain rural roads.

Randolph County employees also operate the justice system of the various courts, law enforcement, probation and housing of inmates awaiting trial or punishment, public safety, health, welfare, recreational and senior citizens services as well as various administrative functions.
