2020 Tax Increase

NOTICE OF PROPERTY TAX INCREASE

The Randolph County Board of Commissioners has tentatively adopted a 2020 millage rate which will require an increase in the incorporated area property taxes by 4.49 percent and the unincorporated areas by 4.27 percent.

All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on this tax increase to be held at the Randolph County Welcome Center, 51 Court Street, Cuthbert, GA on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 9:00AM and 6:00PM

Times and places of additional public hearings on this tax increase are at the Randolph County Welcome Center, 51 Court St. Cuthbert, GA on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 9:00 AM.

This tentative increase in the incorporated area will result in a millage rate of 19.553 mills, an increase of .843 mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage rate will be no more than 18.71 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately $32.05 and the proposed tax increase for non-homestead property with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately $33.74.

This tentative increase in the unincorporated area will result in a millage rate of 18.254 mills, an increase of .74 mills. Without this tentative tax increase, the millage will be no more than 17.51 mills. The proposed tax increase for a home with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately $28.27 and the proposed tax increase for a non-homstead property with a fair market value of $100,000 is approximately $28.76.
